anyone ever done the full current account switch from one bank to another and let them handle all the direct debits transfers? was it as easy as they make out it is?

I moved to HSBC after my previous bank did refund me when my card was skimmed abroad. It was no hassle at all.
They also gave me £150 for changing banks, and I took my previous bank to the Ombudsman and got my stolen money bank plus interest.
Winning.

Yeah funny enough when a bank GIVES me dosh I thought fuck it.... why not?? I think the time I had to put in myself to do this task... was about.... 5 mins... money for old rope

Think I done it 2 or 3 times to take advantage of the free £50.00 to switch... and yeah pretty painless... but... I've not done it for about 4 years as I just can't be arsed anymore....
